Tree Inventory and Salt Damage Assessment - Georgian College
Barrie, ON
Stefan Bolliger Associates Inc. was retained by Georgian College to assess a remaining tree line stretching along the Highway 400 corridor, adjacent to Ring Road and Residence Road within the Georgian College Campus. The trees within the study area had been adversely affected by salt spray and exposure to strong north/westerly winds and therefore required special care to survive. Stefan Bolliger Associates Inc. assessed the condition of the trees and prepared a report outlining the current state of the vegetation, appropriate preservation measures to support their survival, and recommendations for retention and removal based on health, maturity and location. SBA also created a proposal outlining recommended salt tolerant vegetation to be planted to enhance and rejuvenate the area while retaining as many existing trees as reasonable.
