Site Stabilization
Tiny, Ontario
The site located on Georgian Bay has a steep, unstable shoreline slope of approximately 20 meters in height and a 1:1 slope with erosion being an ongoing problem. Native vegetation partially retains the slope. Our office was engaged to assess the conditions and to provide a solution to the situation. Based on our assessment and analysis we recommended the installation of a retaining wall at the toe of the bank and a bio-engineered retention system to lessen and stabilize the slope. Challenging construction conditions were assessed and a strategy for completion including geo-webbing and planting were initiated.
