Lake Simcoe Shoreline Naturalization

Our firm was engaged by the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority to prepare restoration plans for this complex shoreline property in Oro-Medonte. After consultation with the LSRCA and the client, we prepared design solutions to naturalize the shoreline, taking into consideration the existing retaining walls, steps and boathouse. Through the implementation of live willow fascines and bioengineering techniques, we were able to present effective design solutions to the LSRCA, which allowed the client to achieve the overall result they were initially hoping for.
