Heritage Park

Barrie, Ontario

Our firm was responsible for developing a Master Plan for a section of the Kempenfelt Bay Waterfront. The park land was gained through filling and is known as Heritage Park. The design process chosen involved an extensive public participation program which explored a number of facilities suitable and desirable for a waterfront location. The park was designed to be enjoyed by all of Barrie’s citizens and to encourage a stronger connection to Dunlop Street; a main downtown business district. The park has become the location for many events throughout the seasons.
