Chester Village
Toronto, Ontario
The design objective for this project was to develop an attractive and friendly garden for the Alzheimer patients of the Chester Village Retirement Centre. We combined design elements with the clinical knowledge of Alzheimer patients’ needs and the soft and environmentally friendly aspects of garden design. This allowed us to conceive a garden space that encompassed an aesthetically pleasing design and included plants that stimulated the senses. Seating areas, an overhead structure and a gathering area for community functions are also part of this enclosed garden space.
